Welcome to SaveMoni, a digital savings platform operated by SaveMoni Technologies Ltd. By creating an account or using our services, you agree to these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform.

1. About SaveMoni

SaveMoni Technologies Ltd provides digital financial technology services that help individuals and groups save towards financial goals.

Our services may include:

  1. Individual Savings
  2. Locked Savings
  3. Goal/Target Savings
  4. Group Savings
  5. Virtual Accounts
  6. Bank Transfers
  7. Card Payments
  8. Dollar Savings
  9. Bill Payments
  10. POS Services
  11. Other financial services introduced from time to time.

2. Eligibility

You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account.

Users under the age of 18 may only use SaveMoni with the consent or supervision of a parent or legal guardian where permitted by applicable law.

SaveMoni is intended for users across Africa, subject to availability and applicable laws in each country.

3. Account Registration

You agree to:

  1. Provide accurate information.
  2. Keep your password and OTP confidential.
  3. Notify SaveMoni immediately if your account has been compromised.
  4. Be responsible for activities carried out through your account.

4. Identity Verification (KYC)

To comply with applicable regulations, SaveMoni may require identity verification.

Verification may include:

  1. NIN
  2. BVN (Tier 2)
  3. Government-issued ID
  4. Selfie verification
  5. Any additional information required by law.

Failure to complete required verification may restrict access to certain services.

5. Deposits

Users may fund their accounts using:

  1. Bank Transfer
  2. Debit Card
  3. Virtual Account

Deposits are credited after successful confirmation from our payment partners.

6. Savings Plans

SaveMoni offers different savings options including flexible and locked savings.

Funds placed in Locked Savings cannot be withdrawn before the selected maturity date or target amount is reached.

7. Withdrawals

Available balances may be withdrawn to a registered bank account.

Withdrawals are generally processed immediately or as soon as reasonably practicable. In certain situations - including security reviews, fraud prevention, regulatory requirements, technical issues, or delays from partner financial institutions - processing may take up to 24 hours.

A withdrawal fee of N50 applies unless otherwise stated.

8. Rewards

SaveMoni may reward users through referral programs, promotional campaigns, or consistent saving activities.

These rewards are promotional in nature and may be modified or discontinued at any time.

SaveMoni does not currently guarantee interest on savings.

9. Security

Users must keep login credentials confidential.

SaveMoni may suspend transactions or freeze accounts where fraud or suspicious activity is suspected.

10. Privacy

SaveMoni values your privacy.

Your information may be shared only with:

  1. Licensed partner banks
  2. Payment processors
  3. Identity verification providers
  4. Regulatory authorities
  5. Law enforcement agencies where legally required.

11. Prohibited Activities

Users must not use SaveMoni for:

  1. Fraud
  2. Money laundering
  3. Terrorist financing
  4. Identity theft
  5. Illegal transactions
  6. Creating fake accounts
  7. Using another person's bank account without authorization
  8. Any activity that violates Nigerian law or other applicable laws.

12. Suspension and Termination

SaveMoni may suspend or permanently terminate an account where a user:

  1. Violates these Terms.
  2. Provides false information.
  3. Attempts fraud.
  4. Engages in illegal activities.
  5. Poses a security risk.

13. Custody of Funds

Customer funds are held with licensed partner financial institutions in accordance with applicable regulations.

SaveMoni provides the technology platform used to manage savings and facilitate transactions. SaveMoni does not claim ownership of customer funds.

14. Limitation of Liability

SaveMoni shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from the use of the platform except where required by applicable law.

15. Changes to These Terms

SaveMoni may update these Terms at any time.

Continued use of the platform after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

16. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
